Colombian flag Colombian Insulators

In 1960, Energia Electrica de Bogota (EEB) begin producing exact copies of the American CD 154 Hemingray 42 style. These insulators embossed ZICME were hand made, and came in a great variety of colors because they made extensive use of glass cullet. The colors of these CD 154's rival or surpass the colors found in the CD 162 H.G.CO. signals! The colors included purples, turquoise, yellow, sapphire and cobalt blue, as well as shades of aqua and green.

For more information about insulators produced by Colombia see the chapter about Colombian Insulators in the book Glass Insulators from Outside North America.
