Larry Novak's Insulator Page

Hi, my name is Larry Novak and I collect glass insulators. I am relatively new to the hobby. In addition to my general collection, I have a specialty collection of Lynchburg insulators and some others related to the Lynchburg company, such as Gayner.

I am looking for the following insulators to add to my collection:

• A Gayner CD 154, mold number 2. This insulator would have "MADE IN NO. 44 U.S.A" on the rear skirt and underneath that it would have a small number 2.
• Any Lynchburg insulators with embossing errors. These are mostly backwards letters, such as LYNCHBURG with a backwards G.
• Any pink colored Lynchburg insulators.

If you live within an hour's drive of Washington DC and have a bucket of insulators in the barn or basement that you want to sell, let me know - I'd like to look at them.

I am a member of the National Insulator Association and the Chesapeake Bay Insulator Club. I live in Maryland, near Washington, DC and work for Century Computing, Inc. I currently work on-site at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC developing software.

My other hobbies:

• I am an amateur radio operator. My call is K3TLX and I have been licensed since 1962.
• I used to raise and show English Setters and still have two setters at home.
• I also like gardening, hiking, bicycling, reading, playing the flute or clarinet, and too many other things that I don't have time for.
