Selected Shorpy images that feature insulators

Introduction: Pat Barkwell began to circulate links to images from www.shorpy.com via email to ICON at some point in early 2010. These are vintage large format images taken of ordinary daily life where insulators just so happen to be in the pictures. It became apparent to me over time that this could become a great visual reference for line construction of the day, especially in large cities. The purpose of this archive is to create a library of links to images of interest for future reference by collectors. I've extracted some key information from the image captions to allow the images to be sorted by year, location and dates added. You can also search for text within the captions. Michael Green now provides periodic relevant references to ICON however and links can be submitted by anyone.
