Chartreuse Vs. Green

I wanted to post this in response to Chris R.'s posting asking what chartreuse is. However, when it is on my monitor in my photo program - the chartreuse is dead on -- when I posted it here, the chartreuse got its yellow coloring retarded, it darkened up, and the glow is diminished!

I did not have a regular yellow green to post a pic with - besides - there are a lot of different shades of yellow green out there. So I posted the chartreuse with a plain green so there could be some sense of what it looks like. Somehow the camera does not like to take a pic of these colors either. When I took the pic, despite what the viewfinder showed, the green came out looking too light. The chartreuse is a glower in the right light. There is more of a glowing yellow tone in a chartreuse piece. I recently saw one - the 2004 Nat. - that had some mustard-like tones in it also (SN2) !
