My wife wanted some kind of grape arbor in the back yard. She said that if I built it, I could display some "pretty blue insulators" on it! That was all it took to get me on it! This "insularbor" is the result. The unique square telephone poles were used by the Southern Pacific R.R. here in Oregon and I just happened to find 2 on the ground along the abandoned open wire R.R. line. I am glad that I did, since then the entire line has been removed and hauled away. The poles are cut to 12 feet and 9 feet is above the ground. The wife really likes it but thinks it should have more insulators.....she never used to be like this! What happened?
