This substation is used to power water pumps at a flood control station on Lake Labish, near Salem, Oregon. A 57,000 volt P.G.E. Co. line comes in from a nearby town just to serve this substation. It must use a whopping amount of power to be fed with a voltage that high! Notice that there is NO sky blue insulators or rubber ducky apparatus of any kind. Everything is good old BROWN PORCELAIN just as installed in the '50's. The power line feeding it uses brown line post or suspension discs without a speck of boring blue also! I thought that I was in a time warp!
