My most colourful Australian piece. at 3 x 3 inch it is one of the smaller insulators. The swirly streaky pattern is quite uniform all around the whole insulator, almost like it was spun as the glaze was applied. There is a darker blue band around the bottom also above the side groove that are highlighted by a thinner almost white band. Quite a unique glaze. Of the thousands of insulators I saw during our three month tour in Australia, I think this is the best porcelain that I got. I had two others that had slightly stronger colour and were a bit larger. Sadly, they were among the 40 casualties that did not survive Quantas airlines. This one has damage but is at least good from one side.
