Quebec is using this method to install multiparts for high voltage wires. Instead of the usual three multi's across the top of a pole on a crossarm, they are placed vertically at arms length from the pole. Because the wires deviated from a straight line at this pole, they were not attached in the cable-groove but instead were located to the pole side and attached in a similar manner as a side tie signal.
