More nice porcelain in "as found" condition. Here we see a small, ca 5 x 5 inch, unipart insulator from Italy of the "Paderno" pattern. This insulator was recently taken down from a converting station beside the railway in Gallarate, north of Milano. The converting station was built in 1911, and as the insulator have the shape of the original Paderno type from around 1895-1897, I am pretty convinced that this specimen is one of the original insulators, thus anno 1911. In my eyes a very beautiful insulator with its sloping skirts - porcelain insulators can be as nice as glass ones, if not nicer ;c))! Compliments to Guido for this piece!!
