My uncle remembers:

"I am not certain that either the photo or the map you provided show the location, but I can summon a mental image of exactly where those old poles came down: it was on the SOUTH side of Old Hwy 64, on the steep hill just east of the bridge [that crosses Abbott's Creek??] near Paul Beck Rd. Now that I think about it, I believe Paul Beck Rd. intersects Old 64 at the top of that hill; so-o-o, if one were to be looking for insulators that were missed at the time, check the stretch between the bridge and Paul Beck Rd. I believe that side of the road belongs to the city and is undeveloped, being the edge of that public park they built off Paul Beck."

[If you use the intersection Paul Beck at Old Hwy 64 in Yahoo maps for Lexington, NC, you should be able to get a good map of this area.]
