Went down to Sydney to help my uncle move interstate...Sydney is approx 900km south from where we are, so you know what that means : ) yep you guessed it, went by road. Found these at various stopovers at antique stores, abandoned railroad lines and fellow Aussie collectors (thanks Brett!) : ) Some of my favourites in here is the incredibly rare and illusive Amber 121(mint), 2 deep amethyst C.C.G 430 with carbon swirling and a 2 tone 490. These took about 2 weeks to clean. I find incorporating these 3 methods will clean insulators perfectly A: Green scourer B: Gumption (type of silicate abrasive) and lastly C: a dishwasher : ) Washed thousands of insulators in my trusty old dishwasher and have never had a single problem with the heat affecting the glass or porcelain. I collect mould numbers so all of the ones you see before you are ones that I was looking for. (The rest I found are still unclean and in boxes) This would have to be one of my largest hauls and has topped my collection into the 3000+ mark. Enjoy! : ) |
