At a train station there were a number of wagons loaded with chopped off wooden pole tops. We have visited this place over a year ago and took many insulators back then. Now we decided to see if it still were any good pieces to be found in the mess. When the poles along the railway were taken down, the crew sawed off the tops with the hardware, and probably sold the remaining poles. The tops were loaded on the wagon in a very rough manner, meaning many insulators got broken in the process :c(. Well, we dug among the poles, lifting them away to get access to the ones in the bottom. The hard work paid off, as we found a number of nice Gingerbreads in both glass and porcelain. In this picture, Guido is busy removing some pins...the insulators were fastened with plaster of paris, but after a couple years upside down with water, the plaster were quite soft. Our harvest can be seen on the ground!
