Here we have stopped at an old trafo station on the Italian side. It is difficult to see in the picture, but those insulators on the pole are 2-part glass pieces, probably made by ISOREX. There you see Guido strolling, smoking one of his beloved cigarettes! We had great luck with the weather with full sunshine...the weather forecasts had predicted snow. We were lucky because going by this smaller road over the passes is both shorter and there are some interesting stuff to look at along it.
