Elton Gish has just assigned a new U number to this 1 3/4"x 2", salt glazed, threadless insulator. It was excavated from a construction site in Baltimore, Md. By my count, this is the 22nd different style to be listed in the porcelain threadless category. The new U-972A is shown next to a U-970 "egg" style and of similar glaze.
