This is a CD 145 W. Brookfield (arched) / 45 Cliff St / N.Y. in deep purple which was found near Americus, GA. It has a dome mould mark of 30. This picture was taken in florescent light and is closer to the true purple color - the actual color is probably a shade lighter. SCA Brookfield's were found on the Central of Georgia Railway telegraph line between Fort Valley and Albany, GA. There were not a lot of them - probably more than the green's, but there were enough to make for some good trading stock. I will also post a picture taken with natural backlighting which shows the embossing, but does not show the deep color. |
