Here are two CD 145 American Insulator Company embossed "AM INSULATOR CO. N.Y. DOUBLE PETTICOAT. PAT'D SEPT. 13, 1881, NOV. 18, 1883, FEB. 12, 1884" in rich sky blue. The CD 145 American's in shades of aqua and blue were very common on the Central of Georgia Railway telegraph line. These two are deep blue that shows the remains of the segmented / slotted thread pattern, but do have the standard threads. The one on the right has a mould mark of "I" and is a shade darker than the one on the left which has "IX" as the mould mark. There are many more mould variations, but these two are my favorite for showing the "bullet" dome versus the "flat" domed units. Additional detail on the CD 145 American's found in Georgia can be found at [ID=79526612]. |
