This is a crimp tool for installing lead seals on watt hour meters. The seal comes as a twisted piece of wire with a lead seal affixed to one end and a hole through the seal. The wire is run through a hole in the meter's locking pin then through the hole in the seal. The crimp tool smashed the seal locking in the inserted wire. At the same time the seal imprints identifying characters in the lead. This seal imprint "PUD" as can be seen in the photo. This crimp tool comes with 1 crimped seal to see the imprint and 3 unused seals. Asking $35 plus shipping.
