CD154 Hemingray-42. In addition to a beautiful color, there is fizz throughout the insulator which really makes it glow in the sunlight or when back-lit. This insulator was used for both telegraph and telephone. As a lineman friend told me many communication lines started out as telegraph and as phone became more popular, the same lines carried telephone messages instead of telegraph.

This insulator is in amazing condition, but it does have some hard-to-find damage. There is a ½ inch long separation in the glass that catches the light like a crack about 3 drip points right of "42". I don't see any impact mark, so I am not sure what to call it. There is some roughness to the inside edge of the petticoat in several places. There is ½ inch long light scratch over the embossing on the back of the insulator and several flea bites. NOW $20! plus 3 pounds shipping

CD164 Hemingray-20 The 2023 price guide has light Hemingray Blue Round Drip Points at $50 to $75.

It has some fizz in it as can be seen in the photos. There is one sliced drip point. There is a 1 inch long white abrasion in the wire groove apparently caused by the wire. There are two flea bites also in the wire groove and a third on the upper wire ridge. NOW $15! plus 2 pounds shipping.

Take the pair for $28 plus 4 pounds shipping.
