Spring hunting for Muncie's in Montana is the best time to be out hunting for them. The photo shows 3 Muncie's that have "popped up" from the ground. Please note that these are full grown 9" wide Muncie's with their stems that are ready to pick. If you happen to come across any smaller 7" wide Muncie's without stems do not pick these. They are immature Muncie's and have not grown to full size and need additional time to grow. Best of luck in hunting for them.
