Hi everyone!

In this opportunity I'm offering a truly rare and scarce insulator, first time ever offered on the ICON page. This piece was found in southern Argentina and belonged to the extinct FCS railway (Ferrocarril del Sud, literally "South Railway").

The only embossing is the incuse marking on the front (FCS), shown in the photos. It is believed to have been manufactured either by P. Walters or Bullers, as identical examples have been seen with those markings and it also appears in Bullers' 1885 catalogues. One thing I can assure 100% is that this insulator is British-made.

Condition details: The cone section (as you can see in the pictures, the insulator is made in two parts) has a small chip on one of the corrugated areas, but nothing major or distracting. I attached detailed photos of this area, along with two deep wire rubs caused by years of line friction. [id=783104418]

The inner porcelain pin section was repaired because the hunter attempted to remove the pin. Unfortunately, the pin was originally fixed with molten lead and is practically impossible to remove intact, so it was cut for display purposes. Detailed photos are included. Despite this, it displays beautifully from the front. [id=783104381]

Price is USD 850 with shipping included to the USA via DHL (remote areas may require an additional charge). Delivery time is approximately 4–5 business days.

Payment via PayPal only. I will cover all PayPal fees since I can only receive payments as Goods & Services.

I can also make a video and send it by email for anyone interested.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks!
