A lady recently posted pictures of a small group of insulators she's had sitting on top of her kitchen cabinets in a group on Facebook. In the group was this purple Transition mold CD 164 H.G.Co. in great condition. She had no idea how rare and valuable this insulator was. Many collectors gave her an estimate on the value and someone made her an offer and bought it. I just wanted to share her story on how it was found… Many many many years ago back in the 1970's a thirteen year old boy climbed a pole and got the insulator down to impress her. She lived in Riddle, Oregon at the time and her friend lived very far out of town in a cabin. Her brother thought she was cute and was trying to impress her. The old lines were between the road and railroad tracks. It was a wonderful time I remember fondly she said.
