More of the neat streetlight insulators I have. This group is made by Line Material Co. and is a copy of the Locke U-339C dead end insulator. Most are marked with the LM in a triangle symbol and PAT PEND. One piece I have is ink marked LM symbol /F/ Patent No. 1,709,477 which refers to their lag screw patent. Some pieces also have a WP which stands for Wet Process. The 4th piece in is unmarked but I aquired it in a lot of Hartford Faience pieces I got years ago. I'm assuming it was made for Line Material by them. The last piece is a dump item marked Findlay 1933. This catalog number was later used for P.P. Inc's little mighty midget wire holder insulator. I can see why this was a dump item but it;s also the only one I have seen. I have yet to find out what the other markings on Line Material Co. insulators such as F, H, squigily line and circle with a line through it mean. If anybody has any info on them would love to hear it. |
