Hi everyone! This is the first time I'm offering a CD 503 from Uruguay.

Many collectors might consider this a common insulator, but there is an important detail behind it.

There were two factories that produced glass insulators in Uruguay. One of them was CODARVI-PANAMCO, which made insulators in clear and straw glass. The other was S.A.F.N.V., whose initials stand for "Sociedad Anónima Fábrica Nacional de Vidrios" (National Glass Factory Corporation). SAFNV produced insulators in green, amber, and aqua shades.

This CD 503 was made by SAFNV and is only the second example I have seen in this particular color. The first one was previously purchased by Nathan Holmes and can be seen here: [id=640978081]

Details on this example: there appears to be a mold mark inside that could easily be mistaken for a crack, but it is not damage. The insulator is in excellent condition and I would grade it VNM.

First email takes this beautiful and rare insulator for USD 180 shipped to your home. PayPal is the only way to pay as G&S. I take care of the commission charge.

If you have any more question or request just let me know.
