Here is some of the history of the line where Jack found the piece.

fThat 1/2 piece of 196 was found on the 1st RR ROW in America west of the Alleghenies.... The Erie & Kalamazoo RR 1834 !! The ROW is still being used today. It services a grain storage facility in Sylvania, Ohio.
