Hello all. Over the past few months last year I came across some neat finds. Despite having some health problems and my parents being in a horrible car accident, it was nice to have some kind of silver lining to enjoy. My parents are both doing well and I am alright also. While searching auction sites as I usually do looking for nail knobs and cleats, I noticed something special in the one lot. It was a rare no tie Bookman patent nail knob! It is listed under patent 1,640,815 and made by the Trenele Porcelain Co. nicknamed the Quicken Knob. Elton Gish has one pictured on his site that is inmarked, Mine has a chip on the top where Pat. would have been. The other side is marked Pend. Needless to say I was estatic to have this piece. What was even more amazing was in another lot, from Australia of all places, I spotted another Bookman patent piece in a lot of nail knobs and thread guides. When I recieved the lot last week, I was surprised to see it was marked Knox (Knox Porcelain Corp.) It is slightly smaller than the other piece but just as rare. Unfortunatly it has one chipped fin but I'm glad to have it. Awsome possium!
