I found this "thing" on facebook and think it may be an old SCA glass squirrel guard but unsure. Entry port is angled slightly down and hole has small flake of missing glass where something (WIRE ?) was pushed thru. Glass is 1/8 in thick but slightly thicker around entry hole. Been in the sun a long time. Saw one like it on the NIA website but only very light SCA color. It may be a sunshield for R2D2 or one of Gru's Minions!! LOL.

SOLVED!!! Seems this is a glass water dipper from long ago. It's missing the wood handle that was attached by inserting the fitted end into the small mounting hole and inserting a wood screw from inside the bowl to secure it.
