This porcelain 1-3/8" pintype suspension related insulator was made by Ohio Brass in the mid to late 1920's. It was used on the ends of arcing horns at the end of a suspension string. The purpose was to control the flux or arcing caused by electrical surges such as lightning etc. This piece does have several surface scratches on the glaze and a small underglaze spot on the rim of the umbrella.
