LEFT: EIN170 uncommon shop letter A. While this insulator is the typical aqua color, it has a lot of character. There is a nice skirt bubble on the patent date side, along with some nice light ribbons of milk. The patent dates are 1883 for the double petticoat (the skirt within the skirt). And 1884 for the beehive shape. I was told by a speciality collector that the 1884 patent was actually defeated in court, but here it is embossed on every insulator produced. I find a lot more of the Letter B than I do the A. $18 plus shipping. RIGHT: CREBB EIN090 Rare SN 5 This one is a blue aqua. There are five one quarter inch long annealing lines on the inner petticoat (visible in the photo). The insulator is still VNM. $25 plus shipping. Take the pair for $38 plus shipping. |
