The P&WV's Mifflin Branch passes within 100 or so feet of my house. Many days as a youngster were spent trackside watching the N&W, then NS, and finally the W&LE pass by on the rickety stick rail of the line. It was, of course, one of the first ROW's I found insulators on. The mainline was signaled with U.S.&S. Color light signals installed in the late 1940's. I found a purple Tatum a mile or so away from my house and the insulator bug 🐛 got me! The P&WV never had much variety. The best finds were a couple of CD 196's on the hillside below the poles. Ponies and tolls were also used along its pole lead.
