Here's an unlisted porcelain insulator from Germany made by Joseph Schachtel (embossed JS 8364). Not shown in the books or NIA website! Similar to a U-2316 but much larger and the center groove is not rounded but is squared! This feature dates it earlier than the commonly seen rounded examples which are frequently unmarked. There is a ding on the lower skirt that caused a base flake and created a crack that goes up into the lower skirt in two places and one very tiny inner skirt flake. Measures 3 3/4 wide x 4 3/4" tall! On original pin. First email gets this unlisted and unusual porcelain insulator from Germany- only one of 2 known that have the early squared middle groove feature (other example specimen condition) for only $40 plus shipping. Thanks! |
