Sometimes when you search long enough, you find a piece you've been looking for. I came across this spool bracket that I have been looking for in an auction. I asked the seller for any info but didn't provide anything. I know these were used out west but how is another story. So far I haven't found a patent for this unusual arrangement. In this picture it shows the long bracket with two no name solid spools. The seller cut off the unusual tie arrangement but I'm not really into tie slices in my collection but enjoy seeing pictures of them. The only evidence I have of these use is a picture that Mathew Kancle posted the other year of a pole out west. Don't know if these were used for dead ending or some other application since on the pole they are facing to the side instead of with the insulators on the pole.
