The U-1352 style is a common one in several parts of Canada, but nowhere more so than Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. The Maritime provinces saw these things used on just about every telephone line and there are scads of them still sitting around waiting to be found. This one came from Nova Scotia, but is a bit of an oddball because of its glazed top. Most porcelain telephone insulators aren't fired upside down, but for whatever reason Canadian Porcelain decided to consistently fire this flat-topped style that way. As a result, about 99% of these have an unglazed top and a glazed base. These glazed top / unglazed base versions are actually quite scarce, if not rare. I can count on two hands the number I've ever encountered. Of course, most don't care, but I thought I'd offer a spare example here just in case someone else decides they'd like one.

This one has an arc chunk broken off of the delicate inner skirt and a few scuffs in the wire groove. It displays well from the outside and from just about every angle.

I'm asking $15 USD plus actual shipping cost for this one. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
