Up for grabs is another piece of glass from my personal collection. This Canadian Pacific CD 143 is the more modern [170] EIN with no MLOD, It's a common embossing variation, but this one has some outrageous amber swirls throughout, as shown. It looks killer in a backlit display cabinet. This was a bit of a tough one for me to part with as I picked it myself, near Nipigon, ON, while returning from a road trip to western Canada in 2016. It's among the more wildly amber swirled pieces I've picked, but rest assured there is enough stuff in this house to go around so I'm offering it here. The unfortunate part of this piece is that it has a pretty nasty base flake on the front base, as shown at right. The flake is very flat, and doesn't show that well when being displayed, but it's still there. It measures about 4.5 cm at its widest. There is also a small "fisheye bruise" on the front crown. I'm asking $135 USD plus actual shipping cost for this one. I hope whoever buys it will enjoy it as much as I did - or even more! I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
