Unlike in the USA, we don't see a lot of aqua shades in the CD 154 style in Canada. The vast majority of ours, probably in the 90th percentile, are shades of straw or peach. This goes for all of the Canadian embossing styles. Anything else is a bit tougher to find.

At left is a Dominion 42 CD 154 in a light green aqua shade. This one isn't very rare, and is undoubtedly the easiest to find "aqua" shade in the Canadian versions of this style. This one is the "high embossing" variant, with embossing a bit higher up on the skirt than on most examples. It remains in shiny, clean condition with strong crisp embossing. It has a bit of fizz throughout and no significant damage - just a few scuffs on the front crown. I'd call it NM.

At right is a scarce piece indeed - a light blue aqua Diamond CD 154. This is a colour that evaded me for years, as any aqua shade in the Diamond embossed CD 154s is genuinely pretty tough to track down, especially in good shape. I've found this blue aqua shade to be quite a bit harder to find than the green aqua shade that these can also be found in. This example has a bit of damage, but as it's a scarce colour variation, if you like CD 154 variants then you might find it in your heart to still bring it home. It has a small 3 mm fleabite on the front skirt to the right of the diamond, a few very small fleabites on the rear lower wire ridge and a scuff on the rear upper wire ridge. The worst damage is on the dome top - a series of small fleabites, one 4 mm wide BB ping, and at worst an 8 mm wide "fisheye bruise" with another smaller one nested alongside it. It looks like this one might have been dropped off the pole and hit something when it landed. Ah well - a bird in the hand.

I'm asking $40 USD plus actual shipping for the pair. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
