This was a late night eBay purchase in 2017. Like every other story there is, I didn't have my guide, I couldn't sleep that night so I browsed eBay looking for insulators like any other collector with an itch to find another excuse to buy another insulator. Looked like a boring Hemingray 42 except for the MR embossing.

It one looked weird enough to me and I clicked buy it now for $9 plus $8.75 in shipping. I checked my guide when I got home and nearly fell out of my chair. It arrived with no damage from being shipped in bubble wrap and a shoddy cardboard box a week later. I sold it for $354 in 2017 to another collector and then bought it back I after I got seller's remorse for letting go of one of my best finds. I kept it for another 6 years.

In 2023 my old car finally broke down and I needed to pay for a new car. So off it went for $1000 to a gentleman whose father had wished for one since the day he found out they existed.
