Not quite purple but every time I do a search on this company I always get the great Jimi Hendrix in the list as well. Sometimes it's worth the wait. I have always wanted to get one of these plastic fantastic insulators made by Hendrix Wire & Cable Corporation ever since I started collecting plastic insulators again. This was listed by some seller for a high price and recently another seller offered it at a price I was looking for. These remind me of the lily shell design multi-parts only a poly insulator. It measures 10 1/2" high by 6 1/2" wide. Part of the base is machined metal with threading. It's marked at the top Hendrix/LP and on the other side atime code clock with a 2. On the bottom shank it's marked SCL 2,000 lbs./ MDCL 1,250 lbs. This piece dwarfs my other Hendrix pieces. The only other Hendrix style I'd like to get is the line post style which is pretty tall and neat looking.
