I have the word "beautiful" in a lot of my listings. I find most insulators beautiful, even some of the aqua ones. LEFT: Light Purple with pink tones WGM glass beehive insulator This is a very clean and shiny Denver made beehive (about 120 years ago). I don't find any damage on the front of the insulator, but there is damage on the back, including: a 2 inch flat base chip and a 2 inch long base bruise. The chip and the bruise are next to each other on the back of the insulator. There are two pecks also in the back; one just below the wire groove and one to the back crown. $45 plus shipping RIGHT: Very pretty Blue H.G. Co. Petticoat Beehive in great condition This insulator is just a beautiful shade of blue. It is EIN 140 letter "I" for those with the insulator price guide. It is in very good condition with an eraser size chip to the petticoat and wire groove wear in several places. The heaviest wear is a spot about 2 inches long which shows up white in hand but looks like a dark spot in the photos. Great color! I looked at past insulator sales and this blue leans to aqua, but is much better (bluer) than a blue aqua It is not Hemi-blue and not quite light Hemi-blue. One seller described a similar colored insulator as Turquoise Blue. I think that fits this insulator as well. $40 plus shipping Take the pair for $75 plus shipping. |
