This appears to be a CD 122 (Hemingray - 16) but is it? Looks almost AI generated - or just the camera angle/lens makes it look slightly odd, especially the skirt area. I wish I could get a sharper photo. I viewed the video on desktop computer screen (full screen), paused it and took photo with cellphone camera. UPDATE - edited May 27, 2025: For a bit of background, a link to the Hobby Lobby commercial is here (posted on Youtube on May 7, 2024) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJW2Vix0Pis On May 25, ICON member and insulator collector Steven Jeffes posted on the ICON mailing list, asking about what CD was shown in this commercial. He thought it was either a CD 122 (Hemingray-16) or a CD 154 (Hemingray-42). Several other ICON members chimed in, most agreeing that the insulator was a CD 122 or CD 154. Then Andy Wander posted that there were two DIFFERENT insulators in the ad. Well, after viewing the commercial in High Definition on computer screen, and taking the photo of the first insulator shown (here at 0:02 in the video) Bob Stahr said it appeared to be a CD 113 (Hemingray-12), and several other ICON members contacted me privately to agree. So, Hemingray 12 it is! Regarding the second insulator shown (at 0:12) and it is shown VERY BRIEFLY - the profile of the skirt is obscured but from the appearance of the top portion of the insulator it is almost certainly a CD 154 Hemingray-42. So there you have it! |
