Up for grabs is an example of the somewhat tough-to-find "small o" G.N.W. CD 145. These were used a fair bit here in SW Ontario, but saw a more limited distribution than the much more common larger O mould styles. These remain somewhat tough to find in good condition, especially. This example is the EIN without the blotout. To add some interest for those who care about such things, this one has a few circular "slug" looking mould repairs on the front and right sides of the crown - something not usually seen in this mould style. Maybe this was a later example towards the end of the production of these. The inner skirt on this example also has a nice underpour. The paper tag I used to mark this piece with its location of discovery is still glued to the inner skirt. Apparently I found it on one of the many outings I no doubt made in April of 2007. In good condition with just a small scratch and a tiny associated bruise on the left side of the crown. I'm now asking $18 USD plus actual shipping cost for this piece. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. In good condition |
