For the specialist, here is a CD 136 with the (apparently) less common EIN [040] (F-Crown) (Arc)W. BROOKFIELD/45 CLIFF ST./И.Y. {Backwards 'N'} (F-Skirt) B & O (R-Crown) 2/PAT/JAИ 25TH 1870 {Backwards 'N'} {MLOD} SB in bright Blue, which is an unlisted color in this EIN (with two backwards N's AND a mold number). Damage is limited to a one-inch base sliver, minor wire rubs in front, and a handful of scattered hard-to-see pinpoint pecks. *UPDATE* I was asking twenty percent below low book price at $100 shipped in the US. But apparently, there is a glaring error in the current Price Guide listing for this piece, which is listed at $125-150 for an Aqua color. I've been informed by a well-respected collector that this listing is simply not correct as "there is nothing special about this embossing and an aqua piece does not warrant a $125-150 price range." I'm told that Don Briel agrees with this assessment. With that information, my asking price is $40 shipped in the US for this beautiful Blue insulator. CK/MO. |
