Smith Grip pin used with Lima M-2329's

This pin has no bolts or holes on the bottom. Instead, it is held against the crossarm with the U-bolt. It is marked "SMITH GRIP PATENT APPL FOR " The "APPL FOR" is hard to make out, it is pretty rusted.
