No not the John Anderson song (which is great) but in reference to some other lag screw insulators I have. The fellow collector I purchased the two from in the first posting had another unusual lag screw insulator I didn't have. These are called swinging knob insulators and allowed for multi directional applications for drop wires. I didn't realize I had so many different kinds. Most big insulator companies sold them. The piece I bought is the lower right in the picture. These are all Hubbard & Co. pieces. The three in the back are Peirce 1603, Square D mark two groove, and Peirce 1606 spools. The front two used a wire holder insulator. The first being a Peirce 1602 and the second a Peirce H (No 190) wire holder insulator. These are very unusual. Most just use a spool. |
