This insulator was probably decorated by Italian Piero Fornasetti using blank insulators made by the Richard Ginori company. I have a marked version of this insulator and several other Fornasetti insulators in my collection. They date from the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s. A decal is glazed onto the insulator at a low-fire temperature. Around the top it reads "POUR VOS MESSAGES TELEPHONES." On the skirt, are words used to stand for different letters of the alphabet. No chips, cracks, dings, or repairs.
