I'm going to try something a little bit different this time around. For these first few sale listings of 2024, I'm going to donate 100% of the profits to Bill for use towards ICON. To be clear, these donations will be in addition to the amount I usually give. Like so many others, I have ICON to thank for my introduction to the hobby. For all they do, Bill & Jill shouldn't have to bear the cost of hosting the web site as well as the time required to keep it running. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's an olive-toned green-glazed porcelain signal that was made by the Canadian Porcelain Company of Hamilton, Ontario in the 1920s or so. This specific example was found in the Cambridge, Ontario area where quite a few of these green examples saw use. It has some thinly glazed areas that show a bit of brown colour, as well as some brown speckles throughout the glaze all over. There's one brown spot on the upper wire ridge that appears to be a finger print trapped in the glaze. This one has a 1 cm and a 0.7 cm flake on the inner base edge on one side, but these don't show when displayed even with them facing forward. I'm asking $35 USD plus shipping for this tough green glazed signal. 100% of this amount will go to Bill Meier and the ICON website to support its software updates. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
