Here's a rarely seen overhead electrified railway insulator from France. These were made threadless. They were held in place with a clamp that fit over the neck area. They were used in pairs. There was a porcelain sleeve that slid into the "pinhole" and connected the two insulators. This is the first (and only) example I've seen in glass.

These insulators were used primarily in porcelain and have been previously found in use in Germany, Italy and Spain. Unembossed. Measures 5" wide x 4" tall. Color is light yellow.

This example has a large chip (with flake) a bit bigger than a quarter and 3 pings on reverse head with a tiny base tic mark. Displays excellent.

First email gets this unlisted French railway insulator for only $185 plus shipping. Thanks!
