Here's another exceptional Brookfield product to round out the day. This one is a B CD 145 with the No. 44 embossing on the rear skirt, and mold number '3' below the No. 44. This one has a cavernous bubble/pocket on the inside edge of the skirt, traversing just over half the insulator from the right side of the B, all the way around the left side and to just behind the No. 44 embossing. This one also has a significant amount of snow throughout - just in time for the season that will bring the real stuff to much of the northern hemisphere. For damage, I see a 1.2 cm long inner skirt gouge just behind the left mold line. There is also an annealing crack/bruise that runs about 1 cm up the skirt from the inner skirt chip, and another less than 1 cm tall annealing crack in the front skirt. In my eye both of these cracks are "from factory" damage, but I'll leave that up to you to decide. There's also a 1 cm long "popped potstone" bruise to the left of the B, and two wire ridge flakes - one 3 mm long on the upper wire ridge just behind the left mold line, and another 8 mm long on the rear upper wire ridge. I'm asking $60 USD plus shipping for this one. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
