Here's an extremely rare porcelain insulator from Germany! Only one known. These were made during World War when there was extreme shortages of metals that would normally be used for the hardware for securing the insulator to a pole. You've possibly seen the scarce signal style insulator that was molded to the porcelain bracket that also came from Germany. This one has an odd oval shaped spool on the end of the bracket that I've never seen before! Measures 5 1/2" long from the back of the bracket to the tip of the arm and 3 1/4" wide from side to side on the shoulder bracket. Unmarked. No cracks or chips! One very tiny fleabite only! And some train soot staining on back side that I haven't tried to clean. First email that says they will buy it gets this RARE porcelain insulator for only $750 shipped. I can accept this purchase divided into 2 payments over 2 months. Thanks! |
