This is the train trestle between Bangor and Brewer Maine that crosses the Penobscot River. Not used much anymore, as this spur runs down to Bucksport on East side of river, and the mill in Bucksport has been shut down and dismantled. Note the cross arms and how they're attached, there were three (bottom one has fallen off). They were just bolted to the trusses, and a cable run to metal spacer from above to hold the arm up. There is more glass further out ( not in picture). As a (dumb) teenager, I've crossed this trestle many times, friends having crossed it the hard way ( over the top). Funny how collecting goes, at one point, I'd have risked life and limb to get every piece of glass I could, now I get far more enjoyment from seeing what's left in the air still being there than I would from having it collect dust on my shelf.
