Here's a great character Canadian beehive. This G.N.W. TEL. CO. CD 145 has a very faint T.P. blotout behind the "N.W.", and has that great thick, watery-looking glass that Canadian CD 145s are known for. It has a sort of crisp steel blue colour, some scattered bubbles, and some standout straw marks. This ones real character is on the inner skirt, though, where it is severely underpoured, and malformed. The inner skirt is underpoured almost to non-existence in one spot. In that same area, the outer skirt has a very deep underpour associated with a straw mark, and in one spot there is a hole that runs clear through the skirt about 1 cm up from its base. Additionally, the base of the pinhole is badly malformed, with a big glob of glass having been pulled down to form a sort of ledge or ring of glass, all around the base of the inner skirt and pinhole. I've tried to capture all this in the photos, but really you have to see this one in person to get the complete image.

This example is in great condition, with just a couple tiny fleabites - one on the front crown and one on the right side of the skirt. Both are nearly invisible.

I'm asking $70 USD for this great character piece in a nice and relatively uncommon colour, plus the actual cost of shipping from London, Ontario. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
