Over the last few months I came across some interesting items, ads, and info while doing some research on insulators I have. Searching through internet archives magazines, I came across this 1927 ad from the Hinemann Electric Co. showing a glass lag type standoff insulator. I have seen these before and wish I had one for my lag screw insulator collection. The ones I seen for sale people asumed they were a thread guide or some other use and non were marked. Finally here is proof as to who made it and what for. It's hard to make out but it looks like Cat. No.3063?. I have Radio Lightning arresters and strains from this company but didn't know they had glass strains ( Cat. No. 3020) and this standoff insulators. They had some really unique designs. It pays to keep searching for knowledge! Neat ad.
